Camp Compass Safety & Supervision

At Camp Compass, safety is not an afterthought. It is foundational to everything we do.

We are committed to providing a secure, structured, and well-supervised environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

  • All adult leaders and volunteers age 18 and older complete a background check prior to serving. This includes screening through a national database and additional registry checks as applicable.

Teen volunteers under the age of 18 are current Northpoint students who have completed our enrollment and interview process and have agreed to our conduct and safety policies. Student volunteers always serve alongside screened adult leaders and are never alone with campers.

Clear supervision ratios and structured oversight are maintained at all times.

  • All leaders and volunteers participate in team training that covers child safety procedures, supervision standards, and reporting protocols.

Campers are grouped by age and follow a clearly defined daily schedule. All transitions and activities are supervised by trained staff.

  • Camp Compass operates in a controlled and secure facility.

    • We are the only group using the building during camp hours

    • Exterior doors remain locked with secure code access

    • Interior and exterior security cameras are in operation

  • We follow a structured check-in and approved pick-up process to ensure campers are released only to authorized adults.

Homeroom’s secure check-in and check-out system is used daily, providing real-time attendance tracking and verified dismissal procedures.
